Mission Statement:
To provide opportunities for chemical engineers in traditional and nontraditional fields for enhanced professional and personal growth.

The Twin Cities AIChE local section has a very rich history.  Started more than 50 years ago, it is also
one of the longest standing local sections in all of AIChE.

This year, our local section has made three huge strides to create and enhance the opportunities
available to YOU, our members :
First, we completed our section mission statement. To provide opportunities for chemical engineers in traditional and nontraditional fields for enhanced professional and personal growth.
Second, we have created three new board seats, specifically for representatives of the three largest constituent companies : 3M, General Mills, and Seagate. If you work in these companies and would like more information about our local section, please feel
free to contact the Board member from these companies.

Finally, we are working on several initiatives that would make us one of the most innovative sections in the entire Institute : setting up a Chemical Engineering mentor program for both students and professional engineers, creating a PE review class for our members, getting involved in the Minnesota legislature, and volunteering in the community to increase the visibility and promote Chemical Engineering.
